🎯 What's New?

We’ve just released two exciting features that give you more flexibility to manage and track your shipments in Safecube:

🗃️ Shipment Kanban View — Visualize & Organize Shipments Your Way

You can now see your shipments in a Kanban view! Create your own columns and simply drag & drop shipments into the stage of your choice.

Just like in the classic shipment list view, you can apply filters on this Kanban view using shipment status, ETA, POD, or groups.

🧠 Example Use Cases

“We want to track document completion across teams with a simple drag-and-drop flow.”
“We need to monitor urgent customer shipments in a visual board to prioritize action.” “We want to track our own milestones internally, beyond standard shipment statuses.”

🚢 Vessel & Port Schedules (BETA) — Track with Even More Accuracy

Retrieve the schedule of a vessel or a port directly in Safecube — no need to switch tools!
Track your vessels with greater accuracy and integrate these insights into your daily operations.

🧠 Example Use Case

“We want to quickly check the next calls of a vessel to anticipate possible delays.”
“We want to retrieve the schedule of a port directly in our own system via API.”

✅ Why It Matters

These new features are designed to:

  • Give you more flexibility in how you organize and monitor shipments
  • Enhance shipment tracking with vessel & port schedules
  • Help you save time and stay ahead of possible disruptions

New Analytics Dashboard

by Alice Legrand

You can now access detailed shipment analytics directly in the new Analytics Dashboard. This module provides insights into your shipping performance, delays, transshipment trends, and more — all in one place.

🧠 Why it matters

Managing imports and tracking containers is about more than knowing where they are — it's about understanding patterns and improving performance. With the new dashboard, you get a clearer picture of your operations, helping you spot bottlenecks, compare carriers, and plan smarter.

⚙️ How it works

  • Access the Analytics section from the main menu
  • Track KPIs like:
    • On-time arrival rate
    • Average delay over time
    • Transit time by route
    • Transshipment change rate
  • Filter insights by date, port, or shipping line
  • View current operational stats (e.g. containers in transit, delayed, at POD)
  • Identify top-performing routes and carriers — or spot recurring issues

This is just the beginning — more filters, charts, and predictive insights are on the way!

You can now search for any vessel by name or IMO number, directly from the new Vessel Tracking module — or by clicking from container events when vessel information is available.

🧠 Why it matters

Ever wanted to check where a vessel is before your container gets loaded on it? Now you can. This feature gives you real-time visibility into a ship’s location — even if your cargo isn’t onboard yet — so you can verify schedules at POL or transshipment ports and catch discrepancies early.

⚙️ How it works

  • Search any vessel by IMO or name in the Vessel Tracking module
  • View the vessel’s current live position and key characteristics (e.g. flag, type, capacity)
  • From container events, click on vessel names to jump straight to that vessel’s tracking page

We’ve added a new warning type to container tracking: splitBL. It helps you detect when containers under the same BL or BK may be split across different vessels, ports, or timelines — a situation that often leads to confusion and downstream issues.

🧠 Why it matters

Sometimes, containers booked under the same BL/BK don’t move together. This can happen for many operational reasons (e.g. vessel omissions, transshipment delays), but the outcome is the same: your shipment appears to “split” unexpectedly. With the new splitBL warning, you can detect this earlier and take action proactively.

⚙️ How it works

We trigger the splitBL warning when containers under the same BL or BK show diverging tracking data:

  • One container has more (or fewer) tracking events than the others
  • Containers are associated with different vessels or locations

Container Tracking API

  • The warning appears in the metadata.warnings array for each container.

Webhooks

  • The warning appears in the metadata.warnings array inside each container's data.
  • You can subscribe to a new event: shipment.warning.split_bl, which triggers when the warning appears for the first time in the tracking data.

🎯 What's New?

We’ve just released two powerful Premium features that make it easier than ever to embed, synchronize, and brand the Safecube experience within your own tools and platforms:

🔄 Shipment Management API — Sync & Embed Shipments Anywhere

Our new API lets you automatically manage and share shipments from your internal systems or customer platforms. With it, you can:

  • Create shipments directly from your own software (e.g. TMS, ERP, CRM)
  • Delete shipments you no longer need
  • Retrieve public sharing links for each shipment — perfect for embedding in portals or sharing without requiring any login

🧠 Example Use Case

“We want to sync our internal system with Safecube and embed shipment tracking into our customer dashboard—without requiring users to log into Safecube.”

👍

Iframe integration

You can use these API endpoints to embed Safecube as an Iframe in your own website.

🎨 White Label Web Application — Brand Safecube as Your Own

Take full control of the look and feel of the Safecube interface by enabling White Label mode:

  • Use a custom subdomain, like yourbrand.safecube.ai
  • Replace the Safecube logo with your own company branding

🧠 Example Use Case

“We’re embedding Safecube in our platform. It should look like it’s part of our ecosystem, not a third-party tool.”

✅ Why It Matters

These new capabilities are designed to:

  • Simplify your workflows by automating shipment creation and deletion
  • Enable seamless embedding of tracking views in other platforms
  • Deliver a consistent, branded experience for your customers

  • Add additional data columns that are important to you
  • Hide data you don’t need to see
  • Reorder columns to suit your preferences

🧠 Example Use Case

"I don't need the shipment ID because I have an internal shipment number. I also don't need to see the origin, ETD, or last event."

With this update, you can hide those fields and highlight the information that's most relevant to your operations.

✅ Why It Matters

Every business is different—now your shipment view can be too. This improvement is designed to:

  • Boost productivity by showing only the data you need
  • Reduce clutter and visual noise
  • Let you focus on what matters most

Start customizing your shipment list today and make your logistics workflow work your way!

🆕 What's New?

We've added a new field to our API responses—including webhooks and container tracking APIs:

  • sizeType: This new field gives you the container size and type
  • Typical format: "20' Dry Standard"

🔍 Why This Matters

You can now retrieve container details like size and type even when you don't have container numbers or ISO codes. This provides greater flexibility and insight for your systems and workflows.

✅ Benefits

  • Improved container visibility
  • Enhanced data accuracy
  • More robust tracking and reporting, even with limited input data

We’re excited to introduce a brand new feature: Custom Columns!

With this new functionality, you can now add custom data directly into the app, allowing you to personalize your views to better match your specific needs.

Key Features:

  • Add Custom Data: Include personalized information such as customs clearance status, customs codes, or any other relevant data you need to track.
  • Full Flexibility: Customize your views with the data that matters most to your business.
  • Easy Setup: Configure and manage custom columns directly through the app settings.

For more detailed instructions on how to configure and use custom columns, please check out the guide here:
👉 Adding Personal Data to Monitoring Views

Impact:
This feature is available for all users and does not require any additional action if you’re already using the app. Simply configure your custom fields as needed.

This update brings new levels of flexibility and personalization to your experience with our app.

We have updated the behavior of the shipment.any.change webhook.

It now triggers when:

  • The number of containers.events changes (i.e., when an event is added or removed)
  • The shippingStatus changes (e.g., from Planned to In Transit, or from In Transit to Delivered), allowing you to track important shipment milestones
  • Facility-related information changes

Impact:
No action is required. This update is fully backward compatible.

These improvements provide more accurate and real-time shipment tracking.
